Job summary

UFP Industries in Eatonton, GA is seeking an Assembler I to fabricate component parts or assemble finished products according to customer specifications. You will secure and maintain parts and supplies needed for the operation.

You will set up work areas, assemble parts with prescribed instructions, operate hand tools, and maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized workspace. You will also help with quality checks and record production data.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• 6 months manufacturing and assembling experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic math preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completes work area setup.
• Fits parts together in accordance with prescribed instructions and standards.
• Operates hand tools as required to complete the assembly process.
• Stacks completed products and supports labeling and packaging as needed.
• Maintains a safe, clean and organized work area and ensures equipment is safe to operate.
• Completes pre-shift inspection checklists and reports issues.
• Maintains production records as required.
• Checks materials and finished products for standards compliance.
• Performs duties according to safety and quality procedures and participates in safety programs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
