Job summary

Goldshield, located in Decatur, Indiana, is seeking a Finisher to work in fiberglass finishing and surface prep. The role focuses on sanding, buffing, and applying Class A/ C finish standards to meet precise quality requirements.

Ideal candidates have basic manufacturing experience and the ability to pass drug and background screening. This on-site position offers a weekday schedule and benefits beginning at day one.

Qualifications

• Preferred 1-year experience in finishing, sanding, buffing, fiberglass, paint prep, or manufacturing.
• Preferred high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to complete required Goldshield training certification.
• Knowledge of Class A and Class C finish expectations preferred.
• Ability to meet customer quality requirements and production standards.
• Successful completion of the drug and background screening.

Responsibilities

• Sanding and buffing fiberglass parts to restore them to the required shape, design, and quality standard.
• Finishing parts at assigned workstations while meeting customer requirements.
• Applying knowledge of Class A and Class C finish requirements.
• Inspecting finished work and helping reduce returns or rework.
• Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work area.

Since 1982, Goldshield has set the bar in the fiberglass industry. Our facility is located in Decatur, Indiana, where we manufacture fiberglass parts for Fleetwood, Honda, and Daimler. Goldshield also manufactures fiberglass for school buses, emergency vehicles and heavy-duty trucks.

A day in the life of a Finisher at Goldshield:

• Sanding and buffing fiberglass parts to restore them to the required shape, design, and quality standard.
