Job summary

Goldshield in Decatur, Indiana, is seeking a Finisher to sand, buff, and finish fiberglass parts to Class A and Class C specs. You will support fleet and heavy-duty truck components and ensure quality and efficiency on the line.

You will inspect work, maintain a safe workspace, and complete required Goldshield training. The role follows a Monday–Friday schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Preferred 1-year experience in finishing, sanding, buffing, fiberglass, paint prep, or manufacturing.
• Preferred high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to complete required Goldshield training certification.
• Knowledge of Class A and Class C finish expectations preferred.
• Ability to meet customer quality requirements and production standards.
• Successful completion of the drug and background screening.

Responsibilities

• Sanding and buffing fiberglass parts to restore shape and quality.
• Finishing parts at assigned stations to meet customer requirements.
• Inspecting finished work to reduce returns or rework.
• Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work area.
• Assist with ongoing production as needed.

A day in the life of a Finisher at Goldshield:

• Sanding and buffing fiberglass parts to restore them to the required shape, design, and quality standard.
• Finishing parts at assigned workstations while meeting customer requirements.
