Job summary

Siemens Mobility seeks an Assembler I for the 2nd Shift at our Fort Worth, TX site. The role reports to the manufacturing team and handles assembly of low voltage switchgear, switchboards and power panels using basic tools.

You’ll read blueprints, prepare parts, and verify tolerances while meeting production schedules. The position is on-site with a 4:00 PM–12:30 AM shift and hourly pay of $18.11–$21.74.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills and ability to use common measuring tools.
• Must speak, read, write and comprehend English.
• Able to lift 50 lbs and perform physical tasks on shift.

Responsibilities

• Process and scan work orders, follow production schedules.
• Read and interpret blueprints, BOMs and diagrams.
• Assemble low voltage switchgear components with hand/power tools.
• Prepare finished units for shipping, label and seal as needed.
• Secure parts on frames and subassemblies, verify tolerances and specs.

We are looking for a Assembler I - to join our team on the 2nd Shift! This position will be based at our Fort Worth, TX site.

Shift: 2nd Shift (4:00PM - 12:30AM)

Hourly Rate: $18.11 - $21.74

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• Basic computer skills, and use of basic mechanical/ measuring tools.
• Must be able to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English Language
• Make coordinated movements of the hands and arms to grasp and move objects, stoop, bend, squat, crawl and climb.
• Reach, grasp, lift 50lbs, and push/pull/slide heavy material (as needed).
• Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

You’ll make an impact by:

• Processing and scanning in and out work orders (utilizing computers, scanning devices, etc.) in adherence to the production schedule or expedited orders.
• Reading and interpretation of documents associated with the completion of mechanical assembly assignments (blueprints, bill of materials, one-line diagrams, etc.).
• Collection of parts and accessories required in the assembly process, assemble fabricated parts to build unit assemblies (Low Voltage Switchgear, Switchboards, and Power Panels) or subassemblies while using tools and equipment common to the mechanical and/or wiring trade (hand & power tools, wire strippers, pliers, crimpers).
• Preparing finished units for shipping (packing, sealing, labeling, etc.).
• Secure component parts on frames, subassemblies, or unit assemblies while verifying that units meet specifications, tolerances, and customer order requirements.
• Disassemble units to adjust or replace parts and connect cables and basic wires, mark units with identifying information and/or attaches identifying tags, reports non-conforming items.
• Performs other work as advised by Supervision.

The pay range for this position is $18.11 - $21.74 per hour. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
