Eaton’s CPDI OPS Operations division is seeking an Assembler I - 1st Shift - RPO at the Spring Forest Rd site in Raleigh, NC. The role involves building sub-assemblies and assemblies, following SOPs, and performing visual inspections.

You will use fixtures, gauges, hand and power tools, ensure quality, and participate in process improvements while adhering to 5S+ and safety rules. Minimum HS diploma; relocation not available; no immigration sponsorship.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

Eaton’s CPDI OPS Operations division is currently seeking an Assembler I - 1st Shift - RPO to join our team at our Spring Forest Rd site in Raleigh, NC.

• Hours are 6:00am-2:30pm
• The pay rate for this position is $18.50 per hour.

What You’ll Do

The Assembler I will build sub-assemblies and assemblies involving complex and repetitive wiring for Uninterruptible Power Systems (UPS).

In This Function You Will

• You will follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Build sub-assemblies and assemblies using standard operating procedures.
• You will be responsible for visual inspections of material before and after assembly.
• You will use various fixtures, gauges, hand tools and power tools to assemble, adjust, or repair product.
• You will inspect completed assemblies to ensure compliance with Raleigh Plant Quality standards and making necessary adjustments when required in order to meet quality goals.
• You will adhere environmental, health, safety rules and regulations.
• You will provide process and safety improvement ideas.
• You will ensure machines and tools are properly calibrated and perform housekeeping duties as necessary using the principles of 5S+.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required from an accredited educational institution

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience with following standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Previous experience in product assembly, electrical assembly, maintenance, and /or repair
• Basic Soldering experience
• Basic computer experience, including email, internet navigation and data entry

Position Criteria

• Ability to demonstrate working knowledge of the mechanical, electrical, and safety procedures of a manufacturing facility.
• Ability to read and interpret standard operating procedures.
• Ability to work daily and/or weekend overtime, willingness to flex to different areas or local plants as needed
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to distinguish colored wiring
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Repetitive lifting, bending, and squatting is inherent to this position
