Job summary

Nordson MEDICAL is seeking an Assembler Operator I in Arab, AL to assemble components with fixtures, gauges, and tools. You will read instructions, inspect parts, and document daily activities to ensure quality and efficiency in a fast-paced production environment.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of manufacturing experience, strong attention to detail, and good math and communication skills. The role includes various safety and quality procedures and opportunities for growth within Nordson

Qualifications

  • Vision abilities include close and color vision, depth perception, focused adjustment.
  • Strong attention to detail is essential for quality control.
  • High school diploma or GED is required; 1–2 years manufacturing preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble components using fixtures, gauges, tools, and equipment.
  • Read and follow Work Instructions, Manufacturing Procedures, and Job Instructions.
  • Visually inspect components and finished products for quality.
  • Complete daily documentation, manual or electronic.
  • Keep the work area clean and organized, dispose scrap appropriately.
  • Notify supervisor of recurring defects and verify labeling accuracy.

Nordson Medical Fluid Dispensing, a global leader in Medical Devices, is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team in Arab, AL as an Assembler Operator I.

Role and Responsibilities
  • Produce a quality product in a timely manner individually or as part of a team.
  • Read, understand, and follow Work Instructions, Manufacturing Procedures and Job Instruction Sheets.
  • Visually inspect components and finished product during the assembly process to ensure acceptable product is produced
  • Complete all required daily documentation whether manual or electronically
  • Keep work area clean and organized
  • Place scrap components in appropriate red scrap bins
  • Notify Supervisor/Manager of any recurring defects identified
  • Verify all labeling for legibility and accuracy to lot number
  • Adhere to all Atrion policies including safety, attendance, and personal hygiene requirements per the Atrion Employee Handbook.

Physical Demands
  • Up to 1/3 of time is spent walking, talking or hearing, using hands to finger, handle or feel, and reaching with hands and arms. 2/3 or more of time may be spent standing or sitting. Approximately 1/3 of time may be spent lifting up to 25 lbs. 2/3 and more of time may be spent lifting up to 10 pounds.
