Job summary

Nordson MEDICAL in Arab, AL is seeking an Assembler Operator I to join a dynamic, collaborative team. You will assemble components using fixtures, gauges and tools, reading and following established procedures, and performing quality checks on each unit.

Position requires a High School Diploma or GED and 1–2 years of manufacturing experience preferred. Safety, organization, and accurate documentation are essential aspects of the role.

Qualifications

  • Math skills and the ability to apply basic concepts.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and write legibly.
  • Specific vision abilities include near vision, color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble components using fixtures, gauges, tools, and equipment.
  • Produce a quality product in a timely manner, individually or as part of a team.
  • Read, understand, and follow Work Instructions, Manufacturing Procedures and Job Instruction Sheets.
  • Visually inspect components and finished product during assembly to ensure quality.
  • Complete required daily documentation, manual or electronic.
  • Keep work area clean and organized.
  • Notify Supervisor/Manager of recurring defects.
  • Verify labeling for legibility and accuracy to lot number.
  • Adhere to Atrion policies including safety, attendance, and personal hygiene.
