Job summary

Nordson Industrial Coating Solutions in the United States seeks an experienced assembler to join a collaborative production team. You will read schematics and wiring diagrams, assemble components with hand tools, and perform quality checks on final assemblies.

Responsibilities include following procedures, using multimeters and megohmmeters for tests, troubleshooting simple issues, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment. Some cross-training across lines may be required.

Qualifications

  • HS diploma or equivalent General assembly experience desired.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to read and interpret drawings.
  • Experience troubleshooting basic assembly issues and tools operation.

Responsibilities

  • Follow established assembly procedures to ensure quality production.
  • Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams to assemble components.
  • Use hand and small power tools, such as screwdrivers, wrenches, and drills, to assemble components.
  • Assemble components, fixtures, and accessories according to established specifications and instructions.
  • Perform final assembly of components, fixtures, and accessories.
  • Use measuring and testing devices, such as multimeters and megohmmeter, to ensure quality and accuracy of assemblies.
  • Set up test apparatus and conduct tests of production assemblies and units following methods, procedures, standards, and sequences.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve basic issues related to assembly, such as fitting and alignment problems.
  • Follow safety procedures and guidelines in the assembly process.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Cross-train to support other product lines as needed.
