Job summary

Nordson Corporation in Duluth, GA is seeking an experienced manufacturing assembler to perform a wide variety of electronic, electro-mechanical, and mechanical assembly tasks. You will fit, align, calibrate, and adjust parts to blueprint tolerances and meet product operating requirements, repairing units when needed.

You will read drawings, use gages and meters, and apply standard work and quality procedures in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
  • 2 years with electrical/electronics troubleshooting in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
  • High School Diploma or GED; Tech Associate degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret drawings and schematic diagrams.
  • Assemble, wire, test, and package equipment per specs.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve product failures.

Job Summary

Performs a wide variety of electronic, electro-mechanical, mechanical or measurement product assembly operations on product components, assemblies or sub-assemblies. Fits, aligns, calibrates and adjusts parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product operating requirements; repairs units or products that have failed to meet requirements. Makes setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

Be able to read and interpret drawings and schematic diagram. Assembles, wiring, tests, and packages industrial precision dispensing equipment in accordance with quality, productivity, and safety requirements in a manufacturing environment. Follows applicable standard work, process documentation, and quality procedures. Uses hand tools, general power tools, and calibrated power tools to facilitate equipment assembly. Uses reference drawings and bills of material to ensure proper assembly of equipment. Uses gages, volt meters, and measuring tools to verify dimensions, electrical specifications, and proper alignment. Troubleshoots, diagnoses, and resolves product failures. Uses computer to view reference drawings, generate production related documents, and for other general tasks. Must be flexible and able to rotate to different work areas to respond appropriately to changing customer requirements.

Education and Experience Requirements

5 plus years of experience working in an industrial/manufacturing environment. 2 years with experience in electrical and electronics troubleshooting in an industrial/manufacturing environment. High School Diploma or GED. Tech Associate degree Preferred.
