Job summary

Sonoco in Carrollton, GA is seeking an assembler for the 1st shift (6a-2p). You will assemble wood reels used for wire, cable, and other industrial applications, using hand and power tools in a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment.

Reporting to the Team Lead, you’ll help keep the reel assembly line moving, troubleshoot problems, and perform quality checks while maintaining a clean, organized workspace. This hands-on role suits someone who takes pride in durable, high-quality products.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in warehousing environment is extremely helpful.
  • Get it done attitude with urgency to resolve problems/tasks.
  • Working independently and managing multiple tasks.
  • Knowledge of our products and their quality requirements.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
  • Able to read and understand manufacturing instructions.
  • Able to stand for long periods and perform repetitious duties.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble wood reels using hand and power tools according to specifications.
  • Collaborate with other departments and teams.
  • Troubleshoot problems and make incremental process adjustments.
  • Monitor and report quality of manufactured product.
  • Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area.
  • Support Sonoco's quality and safety policies.
  • Assist other departments as needed.
