Job summary

FAST Global Solutions Inc in Auburn, NE is hiring an Assembler for the Day Shift (Mon-Thu, 6:00 am – 4:30 pm). You will assemble machines and sub-assemblies using blueprints, and use hand and power tools to meet specifications.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, basic math/reading skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. A $1,000 sign-on bonus is offered. FAST Global Solutions is an equal opportunity employer.

Job summary:

This position assembles machines, equipment, and their sub-assemblies following blueprints and other written and verbal specifications. The assembler will use various types of hand and power tools.

Job duties and responsibilities:

• Reads and interprets blueprints and assembly drawings to determine specific assembly requirements.
• Removes small quantities of metal to clean parts or to produce close fit between parts.
• Plans assembly procedures, following specifications.
• Drills, taps, or reams holes.
• Aligns components and bolts, screws, or rivets them together.
• Installs moving parts, such as shafts, levers, or bearings, and works them to test free movement.
• Aligns and meshes gears in gearbox to assemble system of gears.
• Tests or assists in testing operation of completed product.
• Prepares parts for shipping into containers, bands items to pallets and performs other packaging as required.

Job Requirements:

• A qualified candidate will have a high school diploma, GED, or at least 1-3 months related experience.
• Must have basic language and math skills and reasoning ability.
• Must be able to stand and walk continuously and sit/reach/bend frequently over the course of a 10 hour shift.
• Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs.
• Must have manual dexterity and be able to maintain a frequent firm grasp.
• Must be able to operate a foot pedal for machine operation.
• Must be able to pass a physical strength test to perform the job.
• Color vision with depth perception is required.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and levels of humidity.
• Personal protective equipment will be provided by FAST and must be worn in the required areas.
