Job summary

Cleveland Gear Company is seeking a 2nd Shift Assembler to join a team that builds worm gearing, industrial speed reducers, and customized gear drives. You will assemble gearboxes, reducers, and strainers per work orders, test units, and troubleshoot issues to ensure quality and performance.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma, basic math skills, and mechanical inclination. The role requires lifting up to 40 lbs and standing 8–10 hours daily, with opportunities for growth and a strong

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Familiarity with computer systems is preferred.
• Previous assembly experience is a plus.
• Must be mechanically inclined and able to read/write.
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Able to stand 8–10 hours per day.

Responsibilities

• Assemble gearboxes/reducers and strainers per work orders.
• Check work orders for accuracy and visually inspect parts.
• Test units for audible noises and leaks and troubleshoot issues.
• Rework and correct any noise or leakage problems.
• Collaborate with engineering on assembly modifications and solutions.
• Approve final assembly in conjunction with engineering.
