Job summary

Cleveland Gear Company is seeking a detail-oriented assembler for 1st and 2nd shift to join a growing team. You will assemble gear reducers, gearboxes, and strainers per work orders and test units for proper operation.

Responsibilities include visual inspection, troubleshooting with engineering, and ensuring final assembly meets specifications. The role requires a High School Diploma and basic math, reading, and tool-handling skills for successful execution.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required or equivalent.
• Familiarity with basic hand and power tools and measurement instruments.
• Ability to read work orders, follow instructions, and perform basic math.

Responsibilities

• Assemble gearboxes, reducers, and strainers per work orders.
• Test assembled units for noises and leaks; troubleshoot issues with engineering.
• Inspect parts visually for quality and confirm alignment with specs.
• Record results and ensure final assembly passes inspection.
• Assist engineering in modification of custom drives as needed.

The assembler is responsible for testing units and troubleshooting problems associated with Assembly.Description:Assemble gearboxes/reducers and Strainers to work order instructionsCheck work orders for accuracy.Visually check parts for quality.Test units for audible noises and leaks.Rework and correct any noise or leakage problems.Troubleshoot with engineering in the assembly and modification of custom drives and develop solutionsResponsible for final assembly and approval upon completion of assembly in conjunction with engineering.Tools Used:Mechanic’s hand and power tools.Precision measuring instruments.Lubricants, fixtures, templates, etcQualifications:High School DiplomaFamiliarity with computer systemsPrevious assembly experience preferred.Mechanically InclinedAbility to read and write.
