Quanex Building Products Corp. in Chehalis, WA is seeking an Assembler to join our manufacturing team. The role involves cutting and assembling door or window screen frames to changing specifications, using a measuring device.

This position is scheduled for 5:30 AM – 2:00 PM. Your duties include following safety procedures, visually inspecting for defects, verifying size and configuration, applying labels, and preparing frames for the next step.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of production, assembly or related work experience preferred.
• Ability to follow both written and verbal directions.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Follows all safety procedures, rules, and guidelines; notifies supervisor of any safety issues.
• Visually inspect for defects or errors throughout process.
• Verify size, color, customer, configuration (hardware), according to labeling system.
• Ensure standard work adherence.
• Apply labels to frame upon completion.
• Sequence into rack for next step (screen rolling).
• Cross training to ensure proficiency in neighboring positions.
• Responsible for attending work on time and for scheduled hours each day.
