Job summary

HSM in Sheboygan, WI, is seeking a dedicated coil assembler to join our manufacturing team. You’ll place coils into the coiling machine, inspect for knot quality, lace coils, and remove finished innerspring units while monitoring production counts.

No college degree required; we value reliability, physical stamina, safety awareness, and the ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately. On-site roles include comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is helpful, but not required.
  • Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks and use vision and touch to assemble parts.

Responsibilities

  • Place individual coils into the assembly machine.
  • Inspect coils for knot quality.
  • Operate the machine to lace coils together.
  • Remove completed innerspring units from the machine.
  • Monitor equipment to maintain quality and production counts.
  • Keep the coiler operating efficiently and respond when a coil drops.
  • Replenish lubricant and straighten tangled wiring as needed.
  • Follow proper shutdown procedures to prevent jams and equipment issues.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area at shift end.

What You’ll Do
  • Place individual coils into the assembly machine
  • Inspect coils for knot quality
  • Operate the machine to lace coils together
  • Remove completed innerspring units from the machine
