Job summary

HSM, a manufacturer with a history spanning decades, is seeking a Setup Person to ensure machines are properly set up, maintained, and producing high-quality product. You will diagnose issues, perform assemblies and coiler setups, and monitor quality metrics to minimize downtime.

Ideal candidates bring 1–2 years of experience in repairing industrial machinery, strong troubleshooting and teamwork skills, and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience repairing and maintaining industrial or manufacturing machinery.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of equipment performance.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Forklift certification (or ability to maintain certification).

Responsibilities

• Respond to machine trouble lights and diagnose mechanical issues quickly and accurately.
• Perform assembly and coiler machine setups according to specifications.
• Monitor coil size, measurements, and overall product quality.
• Complete advanced diagnostics, tuning, and maintenance on assemblers and coilers.
• Perform mechanical repairs (e.g., finger shaft replacement, chuck repairs, cam re-timing).
• Ensure machines are stocked with backup coils, helical wire, and coreless wire reels.
• Tag and track partially used wire rolls.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Support production needs, including occasional overtime for urgent repairs.

What You'll Do
