Observes and follows all safety rulesPositions parts according to knowledge of unit being assembled or following blueprints; fastens parts together with bolts screws speed clips rivets or other fastenersAudit production parts to maintain adequate stock to fulfill production needsRemoves small quantities of metal with hand files and scrapers to produce a close fit between partsOperates hand tools or portable power tools to assist in the assembly operationMay be required to work at different stations as production needs warrant Operate overhead hoist to maneuver materialOperate Forklift to move products throughout the plantOperate hand tools to assemble productsOperate power and manual pallet jacks throughout the plantMust be willing and able to work overtime as an extension to a normal workday or on weekends as scheduledOther assignments as deemed appropriate by the supervisor
