Job summary

ERA Industries LLC in Elk Grove Village, IL is seeking an assembler to join our production team. You will assemble hardware and components in a safe, productive, and quality-focused environment. The role requires documenting work for traceability and maintaining a clean, organized area. You will communicate safety and quality concerns to your supervisor and support continuous improvement within the QMS. Some duties may expand to assisting other departments as needed.

Qualifications

• Trained in blueprint reading.
• Trained on FOD and its effect on product.
• Competent in NAS/NASM MA and customer specs for hardware assembly.
• 1 year experience with basic hand tools or willingness to be trained.

Responsibilities

• Assemble hardware and components in a safe, productive and quality manner.
• Document work on inspection plans, production log, router and ERP for traceability.
• Keep clean and organized work area.
• Communicate concerns about production, safety and quality to supervisor.
• Support continuous improvement and QMS effectiveness.
• Be willing to work in a team environment.
• Use calibrated measuring equipment; report out-of-calibration.
• Ensure epoxy, adhesives, primer and paint are documented and within shelf life.
• Handle inspection equipment to avoid damage.
• Support FOD program compliance.
• May assist other departments (Operator, Inventory, Cleaning, Shipping and Receiving, Deburring).
• Maintain positive attitude and punctuality.
• Be aware of quality policies, procedures, objectives, conformance, safety and ethics.

Assemble hardware and components in a safe, productive and quality manner.

• Document work on in-process inspection plans, production log, router and ERP system as applicable to maintain traceability and quality records.
• Keep clean and organized work area.
• Communicate any concerns or issues related to production of parts, safety and quality to immediate supervisor.
• Look to continuous improvement of processes and understand the contribution to the effectiveness of the QMS.
• Willing to work in a team environment .
• Only use calibrated measuring equipment whether your own or company supplied, if not in proper calibration notify quality department to have corrected immediately
• Be sure any epoxy’s, adhesives, prime and paint etc are documented and within shelf life criteria.
• Handle inspection equipment, machines and parts in a manner that will not cause damage.
• Insure that our FOD program is being used.
• In the event of lack of work or another department needing assistance may be asked to do any of the following but not limited to: Operator, Inventory control, Cleaning, Shipping and Receiving, Deburring
• Maintain a positive attitude and punctuality.
• Aware of quality policies, procedures, objectives, contribution to conformance of product, safety and ethics.

Requirements

• Trained in blue print reading.
• Trained on FOD and its effect on product.
• Competent in standard military NAS and NASM, MA as well as customer specifications for hardware assembly.
• 1 year experience using basic hand tools such as Allen wrenches, torque wrenches, screw drivers, helicoils installation tools or be willing to be trained as required.
