Job summary

ADP, Inc. seeks a mechanical assembler in the Town of Bergen to assemble and test pumps, systems, and related products using hand tools, testers, and BOMs, in a collaborative team setting.

The role involves following work instructions, maintaining 6S in the work area, performing preventive maintenance, and operating cranes and forklifts as needed, all while ensuring ISO 9001 quality and safety standards are met.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude is required.
• High school diploma or GED is required; production experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and test pumps, systems, and related products using hand tools and testers.
• Follow work instructions, BOMs, and best practices to complete mechanical and electrical assemblies.
• Demonstrate ability to use electronic and pneumatic tools to build products.
• Report defective materials or questionable conditions to Quality Department per defined reject process.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area to 6S standards.
• Perform prescribed preventive maintenance on equipment as required per PM requirements.
• Operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and pallet jacks as needed.
• Work under supervision of Department Supervisor and Team Leads; meet manufacturing schedules with minimal supervision.
• Participate in team meetings and projects; contribute to ISO 9001 compliance and safety.

Correctly assembles and tests pumps, systems, and related products to customer expectations using hand tools, testers, work instructions, and Bill of Materials while working in a team environment.

• Performs bench-type processes to complete mechanical and electrical assemblies and sub-assemblies per work instructions, Bill of Materials, and best practices.
• Demonstrate ability to use electronic and pneumatic tools to build product.
• Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the Quality Department per defined reject process.
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition to 6S standards.
• Performs prescribed preventative maintenance on equipment as required per PM requirements.
• Operates both stationary and moving overhead cranes as necessary.
• Operates fork truck or hand pallet jack as necessary.
• Works at the directions of the Department Supervisor and Team Leads.
• Completes tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules with minimal supervision.
• Participates in Team meetings and projects.
• Works effectively in a team environment.
• You will be expected to operate according to ISO 9001 requirements.
• Held responsible and accountable to follow safety guidelines, maintain a clean and organized work area, and use good safety judgment. Expected to report all unsafe activities and conditions to the Supervisor and/or Safety Representative.
