Tomball Controls, LLC in Seguin, TX is seeking a shop-based technician to support fabrication of custom fuel tanks, enclosures, and access platforms for emergency power generators and other power packaging solutions.

Responsibilities include measuring, fitting, assembling, inspecting, sanding, grinding, breaking out steel, and finishing parts using hand tools, forklifts, and limited powered equipment; ensuring conformance to engineering and sales specifications and maintaining a clean, safe work

Core Responsibility:

• Measure, compare and make simple or complex shop calculations necessary to ensure products are in conformance with engineering or sales specifications using materials, methods and equipment in the shop (included but not limited to sanders, drills, air, and electric hand cutting tools)
• Material fit ups and layouts with steel
• Position and secure workpieces using hand tools, forklifts, etc.
• Inspect products/equipment for defects/malfunctions
• Sanding/grinding
• Breaking out steel
• Steel panel assembly with bolt together construction
• Material handling/forklift
