Job summary

Aerotek in Round Rock, TX is seeking Electronic/Electrical Assembly Technicians for Level 1 and Level 2 roles. You will receive kits with instructions and materials, and build subassemblies to customer specifications, with Level 2 handling assembly, testing, and calibration of full subassemblies.

This first-shift, contract-to-hire opportunity is onsite in Round Rock and offers a climate-controlled environment, a collaborative team setting, and the chance to advance within a growing manufacturing

Qualifications

  • 0-2 years of experience for Level 1; 5+ years preferred for Level 2.
  • Basic computer skills for Level 1; intermediate computer skills for Level 2.
  • Ability to read and follow simple and complex drawings, wiring diagrams, and written procedures.
  • Soldering experience required; electronics training is a plus.
  • Good vision (correction acceptable) and ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and adopting new ideas.

Responsibilities

  • Solder surface mount and fine pitch components, and perform brazing, fusing, and spot welding on small intricate components.
  • Conduct manual micro welding operations, possibly under microscopic conditions, using semi-automated equipment.
  • Cut, bend, and straighten various types of stainless steel and copper tubing.
  • Measure, cut, and strip lead wires and cables using small manual hand tools or automatic machines.
  • Assemble and test components using small hand tools and electronic test instruments, possibly under a microscope.
  • Prepare and apply fluxes, epoxies, cements, and lubricants to components or subassemblies.
  • Perform production pass-fail testing, including preparation of ice baths for calibration testing.
  • Label products through simple typing, etching, or stamping functions.
  • Follow safety practices and maintain cleanliness.
  • Ensure product and process quality by adhering to established regulations, procedures, instructions, and standards.

Job Title: Electronic/Electrical Assembly Technician
Job Description

We are seeking dedicated individuals for both Level 1 and Level 2 Electronic/Electrical Assembly Technician roles. As part of our team, you will be responsible for receiving kits with instructions and materials, and building subassemblies according to customer specifications. Level 1 roles focus on organizing and prepping materials, while Level 2 roles involve assembling, building, testing, and calibrating full subassemblies.

Responsibilities

Work Environment

The work environment is climate-controlled and provides a relaxed atmosphere. The position is currently a first shift opportunity from Monday to Friday, 7am to 3:30pm.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Round Rock, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
