Aerotek in San Diego, CA is seeking an Aggregate Production Worker for first shift. You will perform repetitive assembly of electronic components and wire harnesses based on samples, diagrams, and specs under supervision.

You'll use small hand tools, rulers, and possibly a microscope to ensure accurate color coding and precise terminations, while adhering to no-phone policies and production standards on a single-site operation.

Aggregate Production Worker - 1st Shift - $19/ hour

Job Description

This role performs a variety of repetitive assembly operations on electronic components and subassemblies within a manufacturing production line. You work from samples, technical blueprints, and specifications to assemble cable and wire harnesses, perform crimping and stripping of wires, complete box builds, kitting, and other products from start to finish under direct supervision.

Responsibilities
  • Assemble and label electronic components, including wire cutting, stuffing, bagging and tagging, heat shrinking, back shelling, harnessing, and kitting.

  • Work accurately from diagrams, technical blueprints, samples, and written specifications to complete assemblies.

  • Use measuring tools such as rulers to compute and verify measurements with precision.

  • Operate small hand tools, including long nose pliers and side cutters, to perform crimping, stripping, and other assembly tasks.

  • Assemble cable and wire harnesses, ensuring correct routing, crimping, and terminations.

  • Perform box builds and kitting operations, ensuring all components are correctly assembled and packaged.

  • Follow both verbal and written instructions to complete assigned tasks according to quality and production standards.

  • Maintain focus and attention to detail to ensure correct color coding and component identification during assembly.

  • Work autonomously while adhering to production floor rules, including the no phone policy.

  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by supervision to support production needs.

Essential Skills
  • Ability to perform repetitive assembly operations on electronic components and subassemblies.

  • Strong hand-eye coordination suitable for detailed assembly work and use of microscopes when required.

  • Ability to distinguish colors accurately for coding and identification purposes.

  • Proficiency in using small hand tools such as long nose pliers and side cutters.

  • Capability to follow both verbal and written instructions consistently and accurately.

  • Ability to compute and verify measurements accurately using measuring tools such as rulers.

  • Comfort working from diagrams, blueprints, samples, and technical specifications.

  • Reliability in working autonomously while maintaining productivity and quality standards in a manufacturing setting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in general production, general labor, or machine operation in a manufacturing environment.

  • Familiarity with cable and wire harness assembly, including crimping and stripping wires.

  • Experience with box builds and kitting processes.

  • Willingness to perform a variety of tasks and special projects under direct supervision.

  • Ability to maintain focus in a quiet, structured work environment with minimal distractions.

Work Environment

This position is based in a manufacturing setting on a first shift schedule, typically from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The production floor is a quiet workplace where employees work autonomously and are expected to stay focused on their tasks. A strict no cell phone policy applies on the production floor to maintain safety and productivity. You will use small hand tools, measuring devices, and may use microscopes for detailed work, all within a structured and organized environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Diego, CA 92111.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job‑related factors.
