Job summary

Basin Industries in Roanoke, IL is hiring an Assembler to contribute to our rack manufacturing line. You will verify fit, form, and function of rack components and assist with line changeovers, maintaining quality from station to station.

The role requires basic shop math, reading blueprints and taped measures, and using standard hand tools. You will read and follow safety rules and procedures, work Monday–Friday with overtime as needed, and support other departments to keep production flowing.

Qualifications

• Read a calibrated tape measure.
• Read and interpret blueprints.
• Perform simple shop math and convert decimals to fractions.
• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and quality and procedure manuals.
• Proficient use of standard hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Assemble parts and racks, ensuring quality from station to station.
• Rack fit form and function checks; adjust as needed before removal from line.
• Assist with line changeovers and support other departments as required.

Assembler’s essential duties and responsibilities:

• Ensure that part/rack quality is maintained from station to station.
• Rack fit form, function, part fit if available is done before part/rack is removed from line.
• Assist with line change overs as needed.
• Assist other departments as required.

Required experience and skills:

• Perform simple shop math and convert decimals to fractional equivalents
• Read a calibrated tape measure
• Read and interpret blueprints
• Ability to read and interpret documents finished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and quality and procedure manuals
• Proficient use of standard hand tools

Schedule:

• Monday-Friday with Saturdays as needed
• 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
• Will be required to work overtime as needed
