Job summary

APR Consulting, Inc. is seeking a skilled Assembler in Plymouth, MN to perform production assembly on electronic and mechanical subassemblies.

You will read diagrams and drawings to build modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables using precision hand/power tools, jigs, and saws. Responsibilities include following engineering diagrams, performing quality checks, and handling re-work and testing under simulated conditions.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship is required.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Active IPC J-STD-001 Certification.
• 1–3+ years of hand soldering or assembling electronic components in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to follow detailed technical instructions and communicate effectively within a team.

Responsibilities

• Production Assembly: Perform repetitive and non-repetitive assembly operations on complex electronic and electro-mechanical subassemblies.
• Drawing Navigation: Work directly from engineering diagrams, technical drawings, and initial layouts.
• Quality: Conduct continuity checks on in-process and completed work, perform quality inspections.
• Re-Work: Disassemble, modify, re-work, re-assemble, and test assemblies under simulated conditions.

Anaerospace clientis looking for an Assembler who will perform a variety of production assembly operations on electronic and mechanical assemblies.

Location: Plymouth, MN 55442 (Onsite)
Position: Assembler
Pay Rate: $24.90/hr. on W2 (DOE)
Duration: 12 months or longer
Schedule: 9/80A
Shift: 1st Shift

Overview:
A skilled Assembler to perform a variety of production assembly operations on electronic and mechanical assemblies. In this role, you will work from diagrams and technical drawings to build modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables using precision hand/power tools, jigs, and saws.

• Production Assembly: Perform repetitive and non-repetitive assembly operations on complex electronic and electro-mechanical subassemblies.
• Drawing Navigation: Work directly from engineering diagrams, technical drawings, and initial layouts.
• Quality: Conduct continuity checks on in-process and completed work, perform quality inspections.
• Re-Work: Disassemble, modify, re-work, re-assemble, and test assemblies under simulated conditions.

Basic Qualifications

• US Citizenship is required

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Certification: Active IPC J-STD-001 Certification.
• Experience: 1-3+ years of experience in hand soldering or assembling electronic components within a manufacturing setting.
• Soft Skills: Ability to follow detailed technical instructions and communicate effectively within a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced Experience: 5+ years in a manufacturing environment.
• Expert Soldering: 5+ years of experience in hand soldering, including inspection, complex re-work/repair, and utilizing various specialized soldering tools and equipment.
• Technical: Advanced ability to understand, interpret, and attention to detail to technical documents on electro-mechanical work.
• Software Skills: Proficiency with Manufacturing Execution System (MES) software and Microsoft 365 applications.
• Hazard Work: Willingness to be trained to work on explosive assemblies.
