Responsibilities include operating and maintaining production equipment, following detailed procedures, and collaborating with a team to meet production goals. This onsite position offers weekly pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience with assembly or production work, such as production operator, machine operator, assembler, or general manufacturing roles.

Job Title: Assembler

Job Description

This role focuses on assembling small medical device components in a cleanroom environment while operating and maintaining small production equipment safely and efficiently. You will perform detailed assembly under a microscope, light soldering, inspection, and packaging, ensuring all products meet strict quality, documentation, and GMP standards. The position requires strong attention to detail, excellent manual dexterity, and the ability to work independently while contributing to a cohesive and collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain small production equipment in a safe and efficient manner to produce high-quality medical device products.
• Perform small component assembly under a microscope, including light soldering and precise hand work.
• Carry out component assembly, inspection, and related production duties according to established procedures.
• Meet all documentation requirements for the production process, including accurate completion and filing of paperwork and records.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with cleanroom and GMP standards.
• Become proficient in all production processes for spherz products, including forming, cutting, punching, assembly, packaging, and sealing.
• Complete production processes in alignment with documented procedures and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.
• Inspect, evaluate, and accept products based on documented quality assurance (QA) standards and procedures.
• Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions to perform accurate and consistent assembly tasks.
• Work with robotics and production machines in the cleanroom as needed to support component assembly and manufacturing.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and contribute to a positive, high-performing team environment.
• Work independently and maintain productivity and quality expectations without constant supervision.

Essential Skills

• Experience with assembly or production work, such as production operator, machine operator, assembler, or general manufacturing roles.
• Strong attention to detail when working with small components and intricate assemblies.
• Proficiency in component assembly using hand tools and small equipment.
• Ability to perform light soldering on small components.
• Manual and hand dexterity for precise assembly, deburring, and handling of small parts.
• Experience working in a GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) environment or willingness to learn and adhere to GMP regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and follow detailed work instructions.
• Comfort using microscopes for small component assembly and inspection.
• Familiarity with inspection practices to ensure products meet QA standards.
• Capability to maintain accurate documentation and properly file paperwork, assemblies, and product records.
• Ability to operate production equipment and machinery in a cleanroom environment.
• Independent work ethic with a strong sense of responsibility and reliability.
• Strong teamwork skills and the ability to blend into a cohesive, hardworking team.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in medical device manufacturing or medical assembly.
• Knowledge of IPC and J-STD standards related to soldering and electronic assembly.
• Familiarity with cleanroom protocols and practices.
• Experience working with packaging machinery and sealing equipment.
• Exposure to robotics or automated equipment in a production setting.
• Mechanical aptitude and comfort with hands-on, technical tasks.
• Prior experience in a climate-controlled manufacturing environment.
• Ability to adapt to multiple production processes such as forming, cutting, punching, and packaging.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of OWINGS MILLS, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
