Job summary

Teledyne Microwave Solutions, part of Teledyne Technologies Incorporated, is seeking an assembler to build and test advanced RF and microwave components for aerospace, defense and communications. You will join a team that values precision, safety and innovation, assembling and testing mechanical and electronic subassemblies under a microscope.

The role requires 5+ years of experience, a technical certificate and strong dexterity, with responsibilities including troubleshooting, record-keeping

Qualifications

  • Strong manual dexterity and ability to work under a microscope (required).
  • Knowledge of thin-film assembly processes and MIC equipment (required).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel (required).
  • Vocational or technical certificate in a related field and 5+ years of experience (required).
  • Good communication skills and ability to follow detailed instructions (required).
  • U.S. Person status (citizen, permanent resident, asylee, or refugee) (required).

Responsibilities

  • Perform testing, assembly and disassembly of mechanical assemblies using various tools.
  • May perform other general assembly tasks such as potting, encapsulating, sanding, cleaning, epoxy bonding, curing, stamping, etching, impregnating, and color-coding parts and assemblies.

What you’ll do
  • Perform testing, assembly and disassembly of mechanical assemblies using both traditional and non-traditional tooling such as multimeter, oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, power supply, function generator, screwdriver, torque wrench, standard wrench, etc.
  • May perform other general assembly tasks such as potting, encapsulating, sanding, cleaning, epoxy bonding, curing, stamping, etching, impregnating, and color-coding parts and assemblies.
  • Adjust or trim materials from components to achieve specified electrical or dimensional characteristics.
  • Troubleshoot and replace defects of finished products.
  • Rework and repair defective units rejected by inspection or test personnel.
  • Follow safety procedures in the use and handling of flammable and hazardous chemicals required to meet all cleanliness specifications.
  • Ensure that quality checks are completed throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Record information on production records, logs and other report forms.

Salary Range:

$44,500.00-$59,300.000
