Job summary

KEITH Manufacturing Co. in Madras, Oregon is seeking an Assembler to join our production team. You will assemble components, use power or hand tools, and perform quality checks to ensure complete units meet specifications.

Shifts include 5am-3:30pm Mon-Thu or 4am-2:30pm Mon-Thu with overtime possible. You must read a tape measure, operate precision tools, communicate in English, and pass pre-employment drug screening. U.S. work authorization is required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Able to read and interpret a tape measure.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening when required.
• Experience in manufacturing is preferred.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and attach components and hardware in a prescribed manner.
• Use power or hand tools, testing devices, gauges to form complete units.
• Perform quality inspections to ensure conformance to specs.
• Communicate with team leaders regarding setup and operating sequences.
• Other duties as assigned by supervision.

KEITH Walking Floor Systems provide horizontal loading/unloading solutions for bulk materials,
pallets, bales and rolls. The companys state-of-the-art production facility in Madras, Oregon
operates using Lean Manufacturing practices. We are seeking high performance team members
with a commitment to quality work with a positive attitude.

Essential Functions

• Assembling and attaching components and hardware in a prescribed manner.
• Utilize power or hand tools, testing devices, gauges and other equipment to form complete units.
• Perform inspection duties for quality control.
• Communicate with team leaders regarding set-up and operating sequences.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• Able to communicate in English with team members (Speak and reading, writing ability required.)
• May be required to pass employer performance tests including pre-employment drug screening.
• Experience preferred.
• Able to read tape measure and use precision measurement tools.
• Ability and willingness to follow directions as well as the ability to work independently requiring little or no supervision.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer without sponsorship now or in the future.

Working Conditions

• Works in a Production Shop.
• Exposed daily to continual noise from machines.

Equipment/Machinery Used

• Various machinery.

Physical requirements

• Able to sit or stand for 8 to 10 hours at a time.
• Able to lift 25 lbs. repetitively. Production facility exposed to continual machine noise.
