Job summary

KEITH Walking Floor Systems in Madras, Oregon, is seeking a reliable machine operator to support lean manufacturing practices in a busy shop environment.

Shift 3:15pm–1:45am, Monday–Thursday with potential overtime. Responsibilities include loading/unloading, reading layouts, making minor adjustments, and ensuring parts meet KEITH Quality Control standards. Candidates must be able to work independently and communicate in English.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Able to read and interpret tape measures and precision tools.
• Able to communicate in English with team members (reading, writing and speaking).
• Willing to pass pre-employment drug screening if required.
• Able to read layouts and operating charts and follow procedures.

Responsibilities

KEITH Walking Floor Systems provide horizontal loading/unloading solutions for bulk materials, pallets, bales and rolls. The company’s state-of-the-art production facility in Madras, Oregon operates using Lean Manufacturing practices. We are seeking high performance team members with a commitment to quality work with a positive attitude.

Essential Functions

• Responsible for maintaining and operating specific machines during machine production.
• Loading and unloading material or parts from the machine; and making minor adjustments to the machine controls.
• Able to read and follow specified layouts, procedures, and operating charts.
• Able to perform repetitive operations on required machinery in the area.
• Responsible for checking completed parts to meet KEITH Quality Control standards.
• Meet agreed upon manufacturing goals on time.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• Able to communicate in English with team members (Speak and reading, writing ability required.)
• May be required to pass employer performance tests including pre-employment drug screening.
• Able to read tape measure, pressure gauge, precision measurement tools.
• Ability and willingness to follow directions as well as the ability to work independently requiring little or no supervision.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer without sponsorship now or in the future.

Working Conditions

• Works in a Machine or Fabrication Shop atmosphere.
• Exposed daily to continual noise from machines.

Equipment/Machinery Used

• Various machinery including CNC Machines, grinder, and forklift.

Physical Requirements

• Able to sit or stand for 8 to 10 hours at a time.
