Job summary

American Rheinmetall is seeking an assembler to join our manufacturing team. The role involves assembling machinery and fabricated products according to specifications, reading blueprints, and using various machines and hand tools to complete tasks.

You will maintain production records, keep equipment in good condition, and ensure quality while supporting team goals. Qualified candidates read blueprints, work well in teams, and can handle basic repairs and math tasks.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Assemble machinery and fabricated products per directions.
  • Read blueprints or schematics and build to spec.
  • Use machines and hand tools to complete tasks.
  • Maintain logs and records on production and maintenance.
  • Keep equipment and conveyors in good working order.
  • Inventory tools and materials; contact materials handler when needed.
  • Inspect products for quality and resolve issues with supervisor.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.

Job Summary

The Assembler will assemble manufactured products and pack according to specifications.

Essential Functions
  • Assembles machinery, fabricated metal products, electrical equipment, appliances, and more according to directions.
  • Reads blueprints, schematics, or similar documentation, then builds to those specifications.
  • Uses various machines and hand tools to accomplish assigned tasks.
  • Maintains logs, records, and reports concerning production, machine maintenance, and product inconsistencies.
  • Maintains equipment and conveyors and performs basic repairs when needed.
  • Inventories tools, parts, and supplies; contacts materials handler if supplies are needed.
  • Periodically checks products per company policy to ensure quality and uniform completion; resolves any identified problems and alerts supervisor.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics.
  • Detail-oriented and consistent.
  • Works well as a productive member of a team.
  • Ability to properly maintain and perform basic repairs on equipment.
  • Basic ability in mathematics, reading, or writing.
  • Must demonstrate the ability and willingness to obtain an overhead crane permit as part of job requirements.
Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
Background Prerequisites

Must undergo and meet company standards for background check, employment verification, reference checks, physical, and controlled substance testing.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands
  • Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time during the work shift.
  • Frequent use of hands, wrists, and arms for grasping, handling, reaching, and assembling components.
  • Regularly required to lift, carry, push, and pull materials or parts up to 50 pounds (assistance or mechanical aids provided for heavier loads).
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or climb as job duties require.
  • Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to handle small and large components with precision.
  • Capability to operate hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment safely and effectively.
  • Visual acuity to read blueprints, work instructions, and inspect parts for quality.
  • Tolerance for moderate noise, vibration, and occasional exposure to oils, solvents, or other manufacturing materials (with proper PPE provided).
