Job summary

SLB is seeking an Assembler in Katy, Texas to assemble components across multiple product lines and to test finished products. You will troubleshoot problems arising during assembly and testing and ensure accurate labor records are created for every transaction.

The role requires the ability to read blueprints, identify components, use hand tools, and understand tolerances. A safety-focused mindset and willingness to learn new manufacturing technologies are essential.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (technical diploma a plus).
  • Experience in assembly or manufacturing environments preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, or electronic assembly processes.
  • Commitment to quality, attention to detail, and safety compliance.
  • Willingness to learn and embrace new technologies and sustainable practices.

The Assembler is responsible for assembling and testing products, and for troubleshooting and resolving issues.

  • Assemble components of all Product Lines. Select correct tools and fixtures.
  • Test assembled products. Troubleshoot and resolve problems associated with the assembly and testing of products.
  • Ensure ability to: read blueprints; identify components; use pertinent hand tools and rework techniques; operate equipment, dimensioning and setting tolerances of mechanical parts and assemblies.
  • Create labor records for all transactions.
  • Use the guiding principles and tools of the Manufacturing System to drive continuous improvement.
