The Technology Quality Technician

The Technology Quality Technician is responsible for conducting quality control activities, including inspections, tests and results reporting. The Technology Quality Technician combines practical skills with understanding of the overall Quality Management System and the impact of nonconformances on the performance of equipment and systems.

  • Conduct thorough visual, physical, and mechanical inspections on incoming materials, in-process assemblies, and final products, ensuring compliance with inspection procedures and standard work.
  • Measure product dimensions using precision instruments (such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM equipment) and accurately record results in the quality database.
  • Identify, isolate, and report defects or deviations from drawings and specifications; support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Perform manufacturing and engineering tests, ensuring all activities are conducted safely and in accordance with applicable procedures and standard work.
  • Ensure measurement and testing equipment is calibrated, operating correctly, and maintained.
  • Assist in designing tests and fixtures and their set-up.
  • When authorized, perform calibration of measurement systems.
  • Ensure all inspection and test activities are conducted safely. Participate in creation and review of Hazard Analysis and Risk Control for these activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement using Manufacturing System principles and tools.
  • Participate in training and onboarding of new team members; provide input to improve inspection and test procedures.
  • Support compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.

  • Mechanical inspector that can read drawings, knows what to inspect when he gets the tool
  • Experience with hand tools, gauges
  • Programming, CMM, SAP a plus, machining background
