Job summary

SLB seeks a Mechanical Technician to ensure on-time equipment delivery and to improve maintenance-related efficiency across the Maintenance Base. You will follow maintenance programs, record costs and histories in TLM systems, and support continuous improvement efforts that reduce downtime and boost asset utilization.

You will collaborate with maintenance teams to implement CoSD projects, repair and reuse parts, and participate in failure investigations as needed, while complying with the TLM

Qualifications

  • Experience with maintenance programs and CMMS to manage work orders and parts.
  • Familiarity with reliability centered maintenance strategy and asset performance history.
  • Ability to document materials, labor costs and maintenance results in TLM systems.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain assigned equipment according to maintenance programs and CMMS guidelines to ensure reliability and on-time delivery.
  • Record materials, labor costs and maintenance performance history in TLM systems (movements, work orders, parts used, time).
  • Adhere to Product Line standards and contribute to continuous improvement and CoSD initiatives.
  • Participate in improvement plans to reduce downtime and improve asset turnaround time and efficiency.
  • Support maintenance technicians' efficiency and productivity through collaborative problem solving.
  • Lead or participate in CoSD projects, including planned repair and reuse of parts.
  • Contribute to failure investigations as assigned and comply with the TLM Competency Management System.

Job description

The Mechanical Technician is responsible for ensuring on-time delivery of equipment as per operational demands. The Mechanical Technician improves maintenance related nonproductive time ratio of the Product Line's assets within the Maintenance Base (MB), and improves maintenance efficiency and people productivity.



  • Maintain assigned equipment according to the pertinent maintenance program and compliant with the reliability centered maintenance strategy through adherence to the Computerized Maintenance Management System and standard work.

  • Adhere to transactional discipline within Technology Lifecycle Management (TLM) business systems to record materials and supplies, labor costs and equipment maintenance performance history such as movements, work orders, parts used and time to maintain.

  • Comply with TLM Product Line standards.

  • Participate in the continuous improvement culture, initiatives and improvement plans within the MB to improve asset utilization and cost of service delivery (CoSD).

  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts to improve asset turnaround time, which includes reducing downtime due to maintenance, parts and repair authorization numbers, failures and work-in-process.

  • Support continuous improvement efforts to improve the efficiency and productivity of Maintenance Technicians.

  • Implement CoSD projects, such as the planned repair and reuse of parts.

  • Participate in failure investigations as assigned.

  • Comply with the TLM Competency Management System.
