Job summary

SLB is seeking a Manufacturing Planner to implement, monitor, and report production schedules ensuring materials and capacities meet customer demand. You will manage planning data, including work orders and prioritization, and maintain MRP parameters for make items.

The role interfaces with production teams and procurement to prioritize items, resolve shortages, and optimize lead times. A BS in a related field and 3+ years experience are required, with SAP and Power BI considered a plus.

Qualifications

  • BS degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing planning or a related area.
  • Experience with SAP and MRP systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and monitor production schedules to ensure material and capacity availability.
  • Manage planning data, work orders, prioritization, and capacity constraints.
  • Maintain MRP planning parameters for make items and monitor production progress.
  • Analyze planned orders and release production work orders per the plan.
  • Coordinate with production and procurement to prioritize items and resolve shortages.
  • Identify and address demand/supply imbalances, lead-time reductions, and waste reductions.

Job description

The Manufacturing Planner is responsible for implementing, monitoring, measuring and reporting production schedules to ensure that materials and capacities are available to meet the needs of customers.

  • Manage planning and production execution data including work orders, prioritization, capacity constraints and production monitoring.
  • Implement an effective and appropriate capacity management and production monitoring system.
  • Maintain MRP planning and scheduling parameters for "make" items.
  • Analyze planned order reports and provide timely release of production work orders specified by the production plan.
  • Interface with production teams and procurement specialists to prioritize items.
  • Identify and resolve production demand and supply imbalances in volume and mix.
  • Provide daily guidance and information to the Product Line team regarding the status of production schedules.
  • Prepare and communicate shortage and backlog reports, and flag other potential interruptions to the Planning Manager.
  • Monitor production progress against scheduling needs and intervene as necessary to bring deliveries back into compliance with production schedules.
  • Identify and report opportunities and implement actions to reduce waste, shorten lead times and reduce costs.
  • Report scheduling, capacity and production tracking data, statistics and metrics as defined by the Master Schedule policy.
  • Use the guiding principles and the tools of the Manufacturing System to drive continuous improvement wherever applicable.
Education
  • Minimum BS degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management or other related field.
Experience
