Job Duties
- Assembly operators are responsible for constructing automotive mirror components on a machine.
- Their duties include assembling parts according to written and visual instructions, operating machinery for tasks like force fitting or fastening, and rotating between workstations as needed.
- Operators also perform daily startup checks, maintain cleanliness and organization through 5S practices, and complete necessary documentation such as production reports and quality checklists
Education Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous manufacturing, assembly, or warehouse training is beneficial.
Experience Requirements
- Ability to assemble products using hand tools, power tools, fixtures, or work instructions.
- Ability to read assembly instructions, production documents, or basic blueprints.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Ability to inspect completed assemblies and identify quality concerns.
- Dependable attendance and commitment to workplace safety.
- Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.
- Must be able to keep up with the assembly line cycle time to meet production needs
- Work in a team environment.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English due to work instructions and work sheets at the beginning of every shift
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous warehouse, assembly, manufacturing, production, or fulfillment experience is preferred.
- Experience working with hand tools, production equipment, or mechanical assemblies is beneficial.
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, quality inspection, or continuous improvement practices is considered an asset.
- Individuals who demonstrate reliability, teamwork, adaptability, and strong attention to detail are well positioned for success as a Assembler.
- Prior experience in assembly or manufacturing is preferred
Physical Capabilities
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive assembly tasks throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift components, products, or materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Manual dexterity to safely operate hand tools and assembly equipment.
- Ability to maintain productivity in warehouse and manufacturing environments while following established safety procedures.
