Job summary

Victaulic in Cookeville, TN is seeking an Assembler to learn and perform safe assembly of 2″–36″ components, including OGS and AGS, while ensuring quality.

The role conducts in-process inspections, reads drawings, maintains tools and TPMs, completes 5S tasks, and communicates with line leads, shift supervisors, the ops manager, and engineering to address issues.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• Manufacturing/assembly experience preferred.
• Windows computer literacy preferred.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to read drawings/blueprints preferred.
• Good shop math and measurement skills required.

Responsibilities

• Learn and execute safe assembly practices for 2″–36″ assemblies, including OGS and AGS.
• Perform in-process inspections and record results (dimensional, orientation, part).
• Verify finished products meet customer standards and specs.
• Maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition and calibration up to date.
• Complete daily checklists and TPMs; keep 5S duties up to date.
• Communicate with Line Leads, shift supervisors, operations manager, and engineering about issues.
• Participate in team meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Bundle functions on assembled parts as required.
