Job summary

QPS Employment Group seeks an Assembler for our Riverside, MO facility. The role involves mechanical assembly of piping components, in-process inspections, and maintaining production records to ensure final products meet quality standards.

You will work 6:00am–2:30pm Monday–Friday with overtime as needed, onsite, with growth opportunities and raises based on performance as you learn new skills.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or mechanical assembly environment is preferred.
  • Familiarity with SWIs and SOPs is beneficial.
  • Basic proficiency with Windows and computer systems is preferred.
  • Strong math skills and ability to use measuring tools (tape, calipers, micrometers).
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints.
  • Effective written and verbal communication; strong problem‑solving and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Perform mechanical assembly of piping components and systems (2"-36") per SOPs and work instructions.
  • Conduct in-process inspections to verify dimensional accuracy and conformance; escalate discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate inspection and production records to ensure quality.
  • Inspect tools for safe operation and ensure calibration is current.
  • Use Medix to interpret job packets and spool documentation.
  • Complete TPM tasks and 5S housekeeping to keep a clean, efficient work area.
  • Collaborate with Line Leads, Supervisors, Engineering, and Operations to resolve issues.

6:00am-2:30pm Monday-Friday, Overtime as needed

We are searching for candidates with prior assembly or fabrication experience and a steady work history for our 1st shift Assembler role located in Riverside, MO. This company offers room for growth with the ability to learn new skills and earn raises doing so.

Assembler Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Perform mechanical assembly of piping components and systems (2"-36") in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions
  • Conduct in-process inspections to verify dimensional accuracy, part orientation, and overall conformance to specifications; escalate discrepancies as needed
  • Maintain accurate inspection and production records, ensuring final products meet or exceed internal and customer quality standards
  • Inspect and verify tools for safe operation; ensure calibration is current and compliant
  • Use Medix to accurately interpret job packets and spool documentation
  • Complete all required daily checklists, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) tasks, and 5S housekeeping duties to support a clean, organized, and efficient work environment
  • Collaborate effectively with Line Leads, Supervisors, Engineering, and Operations to resolve technical issues related to part drawings, BOMs, and assembly models
Assembler Requirements:
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or mechanical assembly environment is preferred
  • Familiarity with Standard Work Instructions (SWIs) and SOPs is beneficial
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Windows and general computer systems is preferred
  • Strong understanding of basic math, including fractions and decimals; ability to use tape measures and precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, vernier scales)
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints is a plus
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and maintain a high level of accuracy in a fast-paced environment
