  • Label and pack finished kits for delivery or internal processes.
  • Keep workspace tidy and materials properly stored when not in use.
  • Complete paperwork and enter inventory data into systems.
  • Identify and report missing, damaged, or mismatched items to supervision.
  • Safely use pallet jacks or forklifts as needed (training available).
  • Follow all safety practices and operational guidelines.

Position: Material Handler / Assembler

Location: Bronson, MI

Work Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM

Position Summary

This position involves the preparation and assembly of material kits for customer orders, requiring a hands-on approach to gathering, sorting, and packaging items throughout the production floor. Success in this role depends on meticulous attention to detail, good physical endurance, and organizational skills to achieve precise and prompt completion of order fulfillment. Although you may occasionally be asked to operate a forklift, the core responsibilities center on manual handling and the correctness of picked materials.

Main Duties
  • Retrieve, arrange, and package components based on specific kitting instructions and customer order details.
  • Continuously move around the warehouse and production area to find required materials.
  • Confirm product numbers, counts, and packing details to guarantee fulfillment accuracy.
  • Assemble kits using provided guidelines, instructions, and customer criteria.
  • Label and pack finished kits for either delivery or internal processes.
  • Keep your work-space tidy and organized, ensuring materials are stored appropriately when not in use.
  • Accurately finish any required paperwork and enter simple inventory data into systems.
  • Identify and report issues such as missing, damaged, or mismatched items to supervision.
  • Safely use pallet jacks or forklifts as needed (training available if needed).
  • Consistently follow company safety practices and operational guidelines.
Required Competencies
  • Ability to understand packing documents and shipping labels accurately.
  • Skilled in proper methods for handling materials and packaging.
  • Previous experience with forklift operation is a plus.
  • Able to work effectively with others and communicate in team settings.
Physical Demands
  • Must frequently lift boxes weighing up to 55 lbs. from varying heights.
  • Will be standing and walking for most of each 9.5-hour shift.
  • Occasionally required to push or pull bundles of parts weighing up to 200 lbs. for distances up to 100 feet.
  • Regularly reach for and handle products from bins and conveyor lines.
  • Frequent bending, squatting, and twisting as part of daily tasks.
  • Repetitive motion using wrists to place or remove parts from machinery.
Working Conditions

This role is within a production environment where protective eyewear is mandatory at all times. The area may be subject to temperatures ranging from colder temperatures, to temperatures up to 110°F, and there may be exposure to dust, fumes, solvents, and sometimes hazardous substances or oils.
