Job summary

GDKN Staffing Solutions is seeking a hands-on Assembly Technician to fabricate and test mechanical components. You will assemble parts at floor stations, use hand and power tools, and verify parts meet tolerances and product specifications.

You will inspect finished products, identify and repair units that do not meet requirements, document production activity, and maintain a clean, safe work area while following all safety, quality, and operational procedures under supervision.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • May be required to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in the assigned specialty area.
  • Typically requires 2–4 years of experience in the field or a related area.
  • Working knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field.
  • Ability to follow instructions and pre-established guidelines.
  • Works under immediate supervision with limited need for independent judgment.
  • Reports to a supervisor or manager.

Responsibilities

  • Assembles fabricated parts at floor stations and performs testing and calibration of parts and mechanisms to ensure they meet required tolerances and product specifications.
  • Uses hand and power tools to assemble units according to established procedures.
  • Identifies components that fail testing or tolerance requirements and performs repairs as needed.
  • Assembly and test components and finished products in accordance with engineering and product specifications.

  • Identify, troubleshoot, and repair units that do not meet tolerance or testing requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow all safety, quality, and operational procedures.
  • Accurately document production activity and maintain required records.

Job Description
Job Summary:
