Responsibilities

  • Assemble components and finished products per blueprints, process sheets, specifications and established procedures.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, diagrams, process sheets, and work instructions as required.
  • Properly set up and use fixtures, tooling, work-holding devices, and other production equipment.
  • Assemble subassemblies and finished products while maintaining required quality and productivity standards.
  • Perform assembly operations within established production lines and assist other workstations as production flow requires.
  • Assemble prototype, special, or non-standard products with minimal instruction when qualified and assigned.
  • Identify assembly issues and make adjustments or corrective actions as directed.
  • Complete required forms, production records, and other documentation accurately.
  • Perform TIG welding, tack welding, brazing, soldering, grinding, finishing, and fabrication operations.
  • Work from blueprints, weld symbols, sketches, process sheets, and established procedures.
  • Select and properly use appropriate welding, brazing, soldering, grinding, and fabrication equipment.
  • Set up fixtures, tooling, and equipment necessary to complete assigned work.
  • Prepare and inspect connections, welds, and finished components to meet established quality standards.
  • Perform grinding, blending, polishing, finishing, and other fabrication operations.
  • Maintain welding, brazing, grinding, and fabrication equipment in a safe and efficient operating condition.
  • Certain assignments may require successful completion of a welding or brazing qualification test prior to placement.
  • Assemble and wire electrical components and systems according to blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.
  • Install and connect power supplies, control panels, sensors, switches, and other electrical components.
  • Inspect wiring and assembly work to ensure proper installation, quality, and safety.
  • Identify and troubleshoot basic electrical or assembly issues.
  • Make appropriate repairs or adjustments as directed.
  • Maintain accurate records and report discrepancies or recurring issues to supervision.
  • Assemble refrigeration, mechanical, sheet metal, and electrical components into subassemblies or finished products.
  • Test equipment and components to verify proper operation.
  • Assist with troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, pressure, and refrigeration issues.
  • Use appropriate evacuation, filling, and leak-detection equipment when assigned and trained.
  • Assist with refrigerant charging activities when properly trained and authorized.
  • Report major malfunctions and continuing difficulties to the supervisor.
  • Take corrective action as directed to resolve production or quality issues.
  • Inspect components, assemblies, and finished products for defects or deviations from specifications.
  • Verify workmanship, dimensions, fit, function, and appearance as required.
  • Identify and report quality concerns to supervisors or appropriate quality personnel.
  • Take corrective action as directed.
  • Maintain accurate production and quality records.
  • Follow established quality standards and procedures throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Perform material handling activities necessary to support production.
  • Move, organize, stage, and replenish materials and components as required.

  • Perform packaging and crating activities to prepare equipment and components for shipment or storage.
  • Build crates and other packaging structures using appropriate materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Properly block, support, brace, and secure equipment to prevent damage during transportation.
  • Maintain accurate records of crate dimensions, weights, and materials used.
  • Safely operate equipment such as nail guns, saws, banders, and forklifts when trained and authorized.
  • Follow established procedures for packaging, crating, material handling, and shipment preparation.
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and applicable OSHA requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Properly dispose of waste materials and clean up spills and debris.
  • Properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Report unsafe conditions, equipment problems, and safety concerns to supervision.
  • Work cooperatively with team members, supervisors, and other departments to meet production requirements.
  • Assist coworkers and other work areas as directed.
