Job summary

The Academy for Integrated Arts in Kansas City, MO, is seeking an Apprentice Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. Apprentices will be paired with a certified mentor in a co-teaching model and paid a stipend.

Starting August 2026, you will commit to field days, participate in back-to-school professional development, and work toward Missouri certification while contributing to an arts-infused, student-centered curriculum.

Qualifications

• Must commit to field work during the first semester and five days during the second semester
• Candidate must be actively pursuing Missouri teaching certification
• Supports placement for the 2026-2027 school year
• Experience with inclusive, student-centered learning is desirable

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver differentiated instruction in whole class settings and in small groups
• Collaborate with arts and music teachers to integrate arts across the curriculum
• Engage in continual, job-embedded professional development
• Demonstrate ethical behavior and confidentiality of student and staff information
