Family Dollar in Cameron, WV is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, assist customers, and help develop the team. You will participate in opening/closing, merchandising, scheduling, and loss prevention while upholding company standards and policies.

The role emphasizes strong communication, teamwork, and a positive, safe work environment. Prior store management experience is preferred, and this is a part-time position based in-store.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and handle physical responsibilities of the role.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed and process corporate directives.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays and assist in payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Help supervise, train, and develop Store Associates while ensuring a safe, respectful environment.
