Job summary

Giant Food is hiring a Store Manager in Annandale, VA, to lead daily operations, drive sales, and develop a high-performing team. Prior store-management experience is required, with responsibilities spanning payroll, budgeting, compliance, and employee development.

The ideal candidate will have a background in large-scale grocery or big-box retail, strong leadership, and excellent communication skills. Travel within the regional area may be required; salary ranges reflect market expectations for

Qualifications

• Experience in a nationally or regionally recognized perishable, grocery, and/or big box retail company is strongly preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree in a business concentration, such as Finance, Accounting, Marketing, Management, Business Administration, Supply Chain/Logistics, or others.
• Knowledge of employment law, interview techniques, and general retail hiring practices.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership, and organizational skills; ability to gain and keep the confidence of associates, customers, and management alike.
• Staffers must be willing to work required hours and travel within the Washington/Virginia/Maryland/Delaware region.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, track, and report weekly sales programs.
• Manage, control, and track store payroll and budget.
• Ensure store compliance with all Giant programs and policies as well as local, state and federal food, labor and safety regulations.
• Manage hiring, attendance, retention, and performance.
• Lead and develop store management and associates.
