Job summary

Jacksons Food Stores in Boise, ID is seeking an Assistant Manager in Training (AIT) to develop into a store leader. The role covers coaching, controlling expenses, merchandising, and inventory, with a focus on driving sales and reducing losses.

This full-time position offers $18.00 per hour, benefits, tuition reimbursement, and opportunities for advancement within a 24/7 operation. Open availability including nights, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Open availability to meet 24/7 operations, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Leadership experience supervising teams in food service or retail preferred.
• Customer service experience expected (3+ months).
• Strong communication skills and a can-do attitude.
• Driver license and reliable transportation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous customer service and greet customers.
• Enforce store policies and procedures with staff.
• Promote store specials and suggest add-on purchases.
• Maintain sanitation and proper food handling procedures.
• Keep store clean, including pumps and exterior areas.
• Restock shelves, displays, and coolers to minimize stockouts.
• Assist in training new employees and in food service/beverage programs to maximize sales and minimize loss.
• Prepare cashier checkout and daily deposits when needed.
• Respond to emergencies in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Additional duties as assigned.
