Ascend Schools is seeking a Principal in Residence to serve as a dynamic academic and cultural leader at one of our high‑performing charter schools in the Ascend network. The PIR will shadow the host principal, mentor staff, and lead collaborative professional development while managing multiple school leadership responsibilities.

This position emphasizes equity, culture, and student achievement, with Saturdays sessions and stretch projects aligned to school needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• Proven experience leading adults and teams in educational settings.
• Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills.
• Commitment to equity, inclusion, and culturally responsive leadership.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic and cultural leadership within the Ascend school.
• Partner with principal and staff to drive curriculum, instruction, and student outcomes.
• Lead professional development and coaching for teachers and leaders.
• Build and sustain an inclusive school culture focused on equity and excellence.
• Drive data-informed decision making and continuous improvement across systems.
