Job summary

IDEA Public Schools is seeking an Assistant Principal of Instruction – In Residence to embark on a leadership development experience. You will learn from API-IR mentors, coach teachers, analyze data, and help drive school‑wide academic strategy to ensure students progress toward college readiness.

You will build instructional leadership capabilities, manage relationships with students, families, and staff, and contribute to a campus culture of high expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.
• 2+ years of teaching experience (public schools preferred).
• Experience leading other adults (teacher leaders, content leaders, etc.).
• Experience with curricula used in Texas schools (Bluebonnet Math, Eureka Math, Wit and Wisdom, Amplify).

Responsibilities

• Coach and develop teachers to deliver high‑quality instruction.
• Execute data systems for school‑wide data collection and analysis.
• Manage student culture, discipline, and classroom routines.
• Maintain compliance and lead school‑wide systems (tutoring, initiatives).
• Support operational systems to ensure a safe, welcoming campus.
