Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System (NGHS) is seeking a Radiography student to perform radiographic procedures under indirect supervision of a Radiologist and Supervisor. The role requires enrollment in an ARRT-accredited Radiography program and completion of at least two semesters.

You will ensure high-quality images, adhere to safety standards, and assist in various imaging duties across age groups from newborn to elderly.

Qualifications

• Active enrollment in an ARRT-accredited Radiography program and completion of 2 semesters.

Responsibilities

• Operates radiographic equipment according to specifications and produces quality radiographs.
• Adheres to infection control and safety practices.
• Maintains work area neatly and orderly.
• Monitors processors and addresses diagnosis processing problems.
• Follows radiation safety practices per state and federal guidelines.
• Produces quality images within established protocols.
• Maintains patient records per department procedures.
• Assesses patients for exams with appropriate documentation and communication with Imaging nurse.
• Provides patient education related to exams and documents in the record.
• Utilizes RIS according to department standards and CPAC procedures.
• Meets department productivity standards.
• Performs non-technical duties such as stocking, transporting patients, and cleaning cassettes.
• Attends department meetings and participates in staff training.
