Job summary

Orbital Engineering Inc. in Pittsburgh, PA seeks an Assistant Project Manager in Electric Utilities to join our project management team, supporting initiatives from inception through closeout on substation projects across Western Pennsylvania.

The role is on-site or hybrid with intermittent site travel. A bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years of PM experience are preferred, along with proficiency in scheduling software (P6) and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a Related Field.
• 3–5 Years Project Management Experience.
• Experience in Commercial / Industrial T&D or Management Preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication capabilities.
• Proficient in scheduling software (P6) and MS Office.
• Must be able to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist Senior Project Management Staff to drive tasks to completion.
• Attend regularly scheduled project meetings and gather status information.
• Monitor schedules, manage material orders, and track project checklists.
• Support on-site field activities and contribute to project goals.
