Job summary

Accolade Healthcare is seeking an Administrator-In-Training (AIT) to join a structured program designed to fast-track leadership in long-term care. Over a 6–12 month development period, you will gain hands-on experience, mentorship, and exposure to operational, clinical, regulatory, financial, and workforce challenges involved in leading a skilled nursing facility.

The role includes travel to various facilities for training and leadership development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Social Work, Business Administration, or related field
• Strong interest in pursuing a career in long-term care administration
• Demonstrates leadership potential and strong interpersonal skills
• Communicates effectively with residents, families, employees and leaders
• Demonstrates sound judgment, accountability and problem-solving ability
• Adaptable, receptive to feedback and eager to learn
• Can travel to other Accolade Healthcare facilities for training and mentorship

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on exposure to facility operations and department leadership
• Engage in resident care, quality assurance and regulatory readiness (IDPH, CMS)
• Learn staffing, recruitment, and workforce management practices
• Participate in budgeting, financial operations and expense management
• Support census, admissions and business development efforts
• Build resident and family relations and lead performance improvement initiatives
• Develop leadership skills through cross-facility experiences and mentorship
• Prepare for crisis management and problem-solving in real-world settings
