Job summary

Poudre School District is seeking an athletic coach assistant at a middle school level. The role involves teaching fundamentals and advanced skills, supervising student athletes, and supporting the athletic program within PSD guidelines.

Responsibilities include assisting practices, coordinating with parents, monitoring games, and ensuring safety. Prior coaching experience and required certifications must be completed before starting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Criminal background check required.
• CPR, First Aid and AED certifications required before coaching assignment begins.
• Complete required trainings upon hire: Concussion, Blood Borne Pathogens, Child Abuse and Reporting, and Sexual Harassment

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Coach with practice sessions to develop sport skills and sportsmanship.
• Supervise student athletes before, during, and after events ensuring safety.
• Attend and monitor practices and games.
• Communicate expectations to athletes and parents regarding schedules, academics, respect, and sportsmanship.
• Follow PSD guidelines and oversee equipment inventory and maintenance.
• Communicate discipline procedures and report injuries to Head Coach and Athletic Director.
• Adhere to district building and field access procedures and arrive on time.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
