Job summary

Parker's Kitchen in South Carolina is seeking a Kitchen Manager in Training to support daily kitchen operations and assist the Kitchen Manager in leading a team.

You will help with inventory, cost control, food safety, and customer service while developing leadership and readiness for a promotion. The role requires reliable transportation and a minimum of 2 years of management in food service, plus completion of safety trainings within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of management experience in food service operations.
• Must be at least 16 years of age at hire.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Completion of Food Safety Certification within the first month of employment.
• Completion of a skills-based certification within the first 120 days of employment.
• Kitchen Managers in Training must be able to work varied hours, days and shifts.

Responsibilities

• Interact with customers and employees in a respectful, courteous manner to foster a welcoming atmosphere.
• Assist with weekly inventory counts and cost of sales reports; audit inventory against budget.
• Help manage labor costs by scheduling employees per approved labor budget.
• Assist the Kitchen Manager in enforcing safety and health policies; ensure safe food handling procedures.
• Communicate procedures, promotions, and new products to staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Support department success by performing additional tasks and mentoring others.
